Bingeman Park former Campground area - LuxoCamper - 01-05-2024
Does anyone know what is being built on the [now completely flattened] former campground area at Bingeman Park? My only humble speculation is another (or more) of those MONSTROUS monolithic 'warehouse' buildings currently under construction a bit further west along Bingeman Parkway. If that's it, I'm wondering why we need so much warehouse space in this area, now that basically nothing is manufactured here anymore...

I'm pretty sure that it was going be the launching off point for the new Highway 7 that is going to travel generally north of the existing Highway 7 alignment towards Guelph. A new bridge was going to built in that rough location. Of course, we have been hearing about this for years and it would not surprise me if we are still talking about this years from now.

It's the new hospital -- part of the feasibility study anyway.

Is that who the corrupt process is designed to advantage? At least there's a sidewalk now...so I guess it's not a guaranteed death to try and reach the location without a car.

Bingeman was floating the idea of build a new large hotel and convention center there a number of years back (2011).

My memory is very hazy, but I think that was tied with them trying to get a casino license when Ontario was thinking about expanding the number of casinos.

I know nothing about Bingemans so I have no idea if the following is where they are doing this, but they've applied to build a new 166 space parking lot.
