Two notable missing ones from a historical perspective are Doon and Blair. Hmm... My top 3: Galt St Jacobs Belmont Village Honourable mention Hespeler DTK To be sure, I don't think any of these fit all categories. DTK does get a lot of points because of it's urbanist and growth. But perhaps I am looking at this more from a 'tourist' point of view. RE: Best Urban Cores of the region? - ac3r - 04-24-2021 They're very different so it's pretty hard to compare. If I was to just compare the cores in regards to how they feel as cities - the architecture, urban spaces, amenities/businesses - then downtown Kitchener definitely comes out on top. If I was to judge it based on the nicest place to visit for the day as a tourist, then maybe St. Jacobs, Elmira or Galt.
