Laurel Creek Rehabilitation - jwilliamson - 09-26-2020

There's some pretty major work being done to Laurel Creek between Erb and Bridgeport. There's a small dam installed just north of Erb, and the water is all being sent through pipes to around Bridgeport. All the trees on the east bank have been removed and the creek bed has been dug up.

The creek has also been dug up in Waterloo Park.

Water was running over the top of the dam yesterday. I guess the rain brought more water than the pipes could handle.

Signs were posted the other day that the trail was to be closed on October 1st. I can't remember if it was posted as a one-day closure, or if it was beginning on that date. I think it was just for the day because they will be cutting down trees.
