Wouldn't want my money to be tied up from then +2-3 years from now. Potentially 6 year dev. Yikes.I was by the other day and grabbed a few photos again. There has been more above ground progress and some more forms poured, crane still isn't up though. So yes, really slow RE: The Gaslight District | U/C - mgregorasz - 09-01-2020 Tower crane is being put up today. RE: The Gaslight District | U/C - Bjays93 - 09-03-2020 Crane is up. Concrete wall on the far right side of the site (by the theatre) is quite prominent as well. RE: The Gaslight District | U/C - Momo26 - 09-04-2020 Finally. The project in Galt to spark a Renaissance of sorts - big expectations. It already won some local 'architecture design' award or something before the crane even went up. RE: The Gaslight District | U/C - Momo26 - 09-17-2020 Any updated pics? Are those cement walls part of the tower(s) or some peripheral structure being built? RE: The Gaslight District | U/C - Bjays93 - 09-21-2020 (09-21-2020, 11:49 AM)Momo26 Wrote: Thanks for the pics! Are those cement walls part of the tower(s) or some peripheral structure being built?Based on the renders, I'm fairly certain that's the outermost structural wall on the tower. The inside area around the existing heritage structures will remain largely unchanged but will become public space. Both towers are on the outside of the lot. (As per the render at least) RE: The Gaslight District | U/C - Momo26 - 09-21-2020 Thanks for the pics! Are those cement walls part of the tower(s) or some peripheral structure being built? RE: The Gaslight District | U/C - Bjays93 - 12-09-2020 This site is well above grade and looking like a monstrosity. Getting a little worried, though I guess I shouldn't have expected much from HIP. Will try to photograph next time im by. RE: The Gaslight District | U/C - Momo26 - 12-09-2020 LOL @ monstrosity. What like Cambridge's Circa (which turned out somewhat acceptable in the end :p) This is supposed to be Galt's pride and joy...paving the way for a Kitchener-Waterloo-esque flurry of non-stop development! RE: The Gaslight District | U/C - panamaniac - 12-10-2020 Could we get some pics to show the "monstrosity"? RE: The Gaslight District | U/C - ac3r - 12-10-2020 HIP may not be the best but the plans for this always looked like they had potential. I'm curious how it looks as well. |
