RE: General Food, Dining and Nightlife News - greybird - 07-30-2016 Pita Pit wants a liquor licence? RE: General Food, Dining and Nightlife News - DHLawrence - 07-30-2016 Popeye's goes through me like it was shot out of a cannon. No thanks. RE: General Food, Dining and Nightlife News - panamaniac - 07-30-2016 My mistake - it's Prime Pita, not Pita Pit. RE: General Food, Dining and Nightlife News - tomh009 - 08-07-2016 San Francisco Panini finally opening in mid-September -- they received their permits from the city just on Friday. I am sure I missed this but "where" are they opening in September? Sorry ... I'm Canadian. It's on King St E, nearish to City Hall RE: General Food, Dining and Nightlife News - MacBerry - 08-07-2016 (08-07-2016, 08:17 PM)Markster Wrote:(08-07-2016, 07:10 PM)MacBerry Wrote: I am sure I missed this but "where" are they opening in September? I think that is a good location. It will be a long time until the vacant hotel lot beside it and the buildings they are in will be redeveloped. RE: General Food, Dining and Nightlife News - tomh009 - 08-08-2016 Apparently they (San Francisco Panini) will have 100+ seats and a liquor licence. I was a little bit surprised, but it seems that they have a lot of space in the back, behind the other retail units in the building. RE: General Food, Dining and Nightlife News - tomh009 - 08-10-2016 (07-30-2016, 07:01 PM)panamaniac Wrote: Renovations have resumed and a liquour licence application has gone up in the window of the new (Prime Pita) beside the Dollarama Downtown. The floors are in, overall the space looks in good shape, but needs restaurant equipment and furnishings. A bit strange that the Prime Pita sign still says "franchise available". Will they operate it as a company-owned location until a franchisee is signed up? http://primepita.ca/franchising/new-franchise/ RE: General Food, Dining and Nightlife News - Watdot - 08-11-2016 Something new for King & University in Waterloo. Based on the Business Name listed on the liquor application I believe it will be this franchise: http://www.theboilbar.com/ RE: General Food, Dining and Nightlife News - panamaniac - 08-13-2016 (08-08-2016, 10:05 PM)tomh009 Wrote: Apparently they (San Francisco Panini) will have 100+ seats and a liquor licence. That's going to be one big sandwich shop. In spite of the name, their proposed menu looks to be much more extensive. Casual Italian, maybe, with the liquor licence to boot.
