Not saying it's not profitable, but if it were THAT profitable there would be even more of a gold rush!

Right, I totally forgot about the land costs! Land isn't free, especially in DTK!

they're pouring a pretty big slab on the 5 of October weather dependant. Scott Street is going to be closed.

Is there commercial in this one? The Weber Street frontage looks like it could handle it well

I think there's a small (1,000 sqft) commercial space planned for the ground floor.

I was by this site yesterday, they are going with the preformed concrete. This will likely rise quickly...

That "brick" above the ground floor is not looking good ...

I assume that this is not the finished exterior cladding. if so you is not going to turn out nearly as nice as the render would suggest.

Where it has that fake brick texture, I'd assume that's the finished product, barring a coat of paint perhaps. Expectations should be kept low, I suspect.

Updated photos from today.

I wouldn't call this a "brick" or even a "fake brick" finish. This is really a tile (or possibly fake tile) finish on the precast modules, similar to the type fairly popular in Tokyo.

I was going to say that's one nasty piece of .... construction, but the textured cladding is a bit different, so I'll hold off until it's finished.
