They've filed with the city for a zone change, that's how we first found out about it, so they have to be a bit beyond concept. Sun Life has a real estate arm, so they could be doing it themselves, or at least taking on the approval to increase the value of the property when they sell.

Interesting. The concentration of high rises going up basically on that block alone will be quite high if these 2 buildings were to get built! All along King St. for that matter, we are in store for dramatic change!

Sunlife doesn't own the property anymore. Concert does and in my opinion, is more likely to develop it.

Oh I didn't realize this was by sunlife right on their property. I thought it was separate from them. Thanks for the info

This review does not bode well for the latest restaurant to occupy the southern block of King St. in uptown.

Lackluster would be harder to explain, but likely linked to local expectations and food culture. Although I never thought of Ali Baba as "lackluster".

This is great. The Region is seriously lacking in arts and culture so hopefully we see more of this. Speaking of, the Clay and Glass gallery is so terribly underused - it could become a vibrant multi use arts and culture hub but nope, it's just a gift shop and the occasional semi interesting exhibit. And weddings.

Yeah, but don't you agree that it could be more active and vibrant? I live very close to it and walk by it almost every day, and it always just feels dead and empty. Very few go through those doors. Let alone the public space around it, just fully inactive.
