Those self-raising cranes are really impressive. Amazing to watch when they are self-raising. Looks about 15 minutes to raise an entire floor level. No special tools required.

My guess would be for worker harnesses given working at heights.

Great Photos, straps are for workers tie off near slab edge.
You can also tie off with a longer rope to an interior concrete column, but that is not always available.
Best scenario from fall protection is to have tie off point above, so you don't pendulum swing.

Need Tie off for:
-temp guard rail removal
-window wall install
-balcony railings
-ladder work on balcony

Looks like they have cast in a steel loop into the slab above, then tied on the straps.
After ceiling is installed, cut off or bury. No one will know.
For a few grand in cost, good solution for safety of workers!

Oops, did I mis-count? I thought the walls were done on 20 and the slip forms there ready to pour the 20th lid/21st slab? Was counting like this. Does the entrance to the underground count as a floor?
