This is not correct.  Openavenue was part of the old Madison/Revel group which is now gone.  From what I've heard, they sold this site.

Also that picture is of the building on Cedar street I believe.

 Found this bit of info.

The owner is proposing to redevelop the site with two blocks of 3 storey stacked townhouses containing 48 dwelling units with surface parking for 28 vehicles as illustrated on the site plan attached to this report. Site Plan application (SP14/030/L/BB) was “Approved in Principle” at the Site Plan Review Committee meeting of May 14, 2014 subject to fulfilling a number of conditions including Committee of Adjustment approval for two minor variances required to facilitate the proposed development.

Not sure if this has been mentioned here yet:

"Two abandoned buildings in the north end of Kitchener have been demolished to make way for this new stacked townhouse development.  A total of 28 units will be contained within two three-storey buildings.   Unit types include  one-bedroom, two-bedroom and two-bedroom + den.  Large windows are incorporated into the units to provide an abundance of natural light.  Upper units are provided with balconies.  Lower units have individual garden areas.  High quality exterior building materials are combined with modern details to give these townhouses a contemporary look.

Construction is expected to start in Spring 2016.

To ensure that the development stands out in a crowded and competitive market, it has been given a contemporary architectural style and bolder external materials usually found in more urban developments.  The apartments are all two-bedroom units with areas ranging from 820 to 1217 square feet."

I like it, especially given the location! The thread for this site is here:

RE: Lancaster Brownstones - mpd618 - 05-17-2016

Construction is underway and a webpage is up for the Fit Condos at 361 Lancaster St W. The sign on location says that units start in the low $200s; the smallest units on the site are 820 square feet with two bedrooms.

This page says the project is by Aberdeen Homes and Sunvest Homes.
