HIP also doing the Gaslight condos in Galt correct? From what I hear, they are considered top of the game developers. I wouldn't expect less than $525 - 550 square/foot (hopefully w/ parking). Crazy crazy to think about, when some projects in the fringe of the core, downtown Toronto are advertised at $700 square/foot (I'm not referring to the core-core but your Reagant Park, Junction areas etc).
Will Kitchener-Waterloo seriously hit Etobicoke, Mississauga, North York and fringe downtown condo prices? :-O

Evidently from what I have been told, increased rates are good for condos and bad for the bigger single detached. In fact, possibly good for towns and semis too as those who would have preferred to get into a single detached at $600k+ will turn to the ~$500k towns and semis and drive up the price of those as well as the condo market.

Glad they approved this. After there being some opposition to 70 King, I never know what people are thinking about development in uptown waterloo.

This development is not going to see as much opposition, because it doesn't affect the King streetscape, and doesn't have heritage neighbours.
