Except it literally is: Quote:Source : City of Ottawa RE: Ottawa LRT - tomh009 - 01-04-2019 So it is. My bad, got confused with the RTG document and the city document. Sorry. RE: Ottawa LRT - Spokes - 01-07-2019 What's the difference between launching service and a handover date? RE: Ottawa LRT - panamaniac - 01-07-2019 About thirty days in Ottawa's case, apparently. RE: Ottawa LRT - Canard - 01-11-2019 Not the Ottawa LRT, but Ottawa: https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/ottawa/bus-crash-westboro-station-ottawa-1.4975385 ![]() Absolutely horrible
RE: Ottawa LRT - Spokes - 01-11-2019 Devastating RE: Ottawa LRT - Canard - 01-17-2019 https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/ottawa/gatineau-aylmer-ottawa-light-rail-1.4713843 Pretty cool that it will link up to the O-Train in two spots! RE: Ottawa LRT - panamaniac - 01-17-2019 If it gets built (it's Ottawa, so there's bound to be drama, with many a committee struck!). Depending on the details, the crossing at the Alexandra Bridge could be highly contentious. Gatineau is small, the whole region is only about 50% bigger than Kitchener alone, but this would be the second major transit project, they already have real (i.e., much of it in it's own right of way) BRT system. I was really shocked how good the transit was for such a small city. Of course, they're going to need some serious TOD to make that economically feasible. RE: Ottawa LRT - Spokes - 01-17-2019 Very very cool. Not entirely surprised that it links with Ottawa's. Will really help maximize federal funding since so much government office space is across the river now. RE: Ottawa LRT - KevinL - 01-17-2019 Interesting that we're just discussing it now - was it not posted last summer when the announcement was made? RE: Ottawa LRT - Spokes - 01-18-2019 True, you definitely posted it back then, and no talk. Good catch! |
