Doremi, a new Vietnamese/French bakery (Do re mi phở maybe?) opening up at 676 King E, in a former variety store location. Looking forward to seeing their selection.

Also, Tastea (apparently specializing in bubble tea) is now open in the new BT supermarket building. The other food outlets in the building have signage but little sign of opening on the inside.

Street food, not a bakery! Vietnamese-style baguette subs, then, maybe?

Nothing like starting new business with confusion about your offer.

One hopes that they'll have more info posted at the restaurant by the time they open. I was going just by the sign--but acitta's Instagram link had more information.

I don't see any pictures at that instagram link but banh mi always means the sandwiches to me in that context. Like Givral.

It does say bánh mì on the sign. Their website just 404's when I try to visit but assuming they don't just make baked goods, I'd assume it'll primarily serve that as well as other common things like gà ro ti, pate sô, maybe some of the interesting coffees that came out of Franco-Vietnamese relations and other easy things. Maybe some actual Vietnamese dishes as well but a lot of those can get a bit too flavourful for western people.

Givral Deli better watch out though...!

Oh yeah, Score Pizza has reopened, presumably with a new franchisee in charge. I hope they make it work this time, it's our preferred take-out pizza (La Cucina is good, too, but menu is more limited and it's a longer walk).

I've enjoyed Cucina on my visits there.
