Yeah, it looks like their original sandwich wine salad bistro thing didn’t really take off and they immediately found a new tenant with this fine dining option.

There are now enough Indian restaurants in DTK that "best" is hard to define. For example, I like Rangeela but it's not so traditional. Other people like Jayalakshmi for the South Indian cuisine. None of the downtown ones are really "fine dining" style even if the food is good.
Don't know about the Serbian place, I don't think they allow vegetables inside! 😂

Grand Trunk is going to be relocating to King St, and taking over the old Wineology space.

Awe... That's both good and bad. I love the current Grand Trunk site, very cool and intimate. However, the Wineology space is very nice too. Maybe they will relocate The Grand Surf Lounge in the current Grand Trunk location for more space..

Of the Trunk and Surf? Yes, they're run like a single establishment with staff moving back and forth between the two.

I know that the owner of the building Grand Trunk is currently in has changed hands fairly recently. Could be that someone is raising rent on them, or they're getting kicked out of that location.

They posted an video of the construction progress a week or two ago on their Instagram. I'd guess it's still a couple months from opening based on the look of things.

A developer is proposing a large development where the Charcoal Steak House is, so I assume the restaurant will either close or relocate at some point in the coming months. Wouldn't say it's a big loss, it's super generic food but nonetheless it did seem like a popular place.

I guess depending on the size of the commercial units in the tower being proposed, they could move into one of those. Otherwise it's probably more likely they just move, rather than shut down.

Given that the Charcoal Group has 10 restaurants in their roster, I would suspect that the Steakhouse will likely survive a move, whether into this building, or elsewhere.
