There's a right kind and wrong kind of accelerator?

Yes; I want the kind of space tech accelerator that makes space tech go fast, like a five mile long railgun.

An article about Trusted Clothes, interesting read, I never really considered the effects of clothing in the landfill.

Utilizing the former Everest College space seems incredibly logical to me, at least in the short term for the city. I either didn't know or I have forgotten that the Accelerator Center had an office Downtown.

I don't seem to throw away clothes very often so it's a bit surprising. However, things don't actually biodegrade in landfills, so I'm not sure that should actually be an important concern.

Patagonia is trying to pitch reuse and recycling of its clothes, but it's actually quite difficult to recycle clothing, in particular because it's hard to tell what it's made of.

Yes ... landfills are (almost) forever.  All they do is take space and generate methane emissions (much worse than CO2).  I would like to see a move toward clean incineration of non-recyclable garbage, but this is still quite uncommon in North America.

I'm still scratching my head trying to figure out what these chemicals are in clothing that enter into our body. The article was not very informative.

It likely has to due with all of the chemicals used to create synthetic fabrics, such as polyester for example.

So Waterloo Inn becomes The Inn of Waterloo.  Sounds like a spectacular makeover!  Actually, I think they left a gap in the local market when they closed, so this is probably a good thing.  Not to mention jobs, which are always a good thing even if the Region is doing pretty well these days.
