RE: General Suburban Updates and Rumours - KevinL - 04-14-2016 I think a rebrand is likely because this location has become too small for a Zehrs. I think this is the smallest store in the region still carrying that name, so I feel confident the rebuild will bring that change with it. RE: General Suburban Updates and Rumours - Markster - 04-14-2016 I've moved the non-specific Grocery Store speculation along with the Loblaws news post to the Grocery Stores thread. RE: General Suburban Updates and Rumours - rangersfan - 04-19-2016 The Home Hardware at Pioneer Plaza abruptly closed on the weekend due to the forthcoming redevelopment of the plaza. http://kitchener.ctvnews.ca/mobile/hardware-store-closes-abruptly-as-plaza-redevelopment-looms-1.2863958 RE: General Suburban Updates and Rumours - ibuildstuff - 04-19-2016 Corner of Highland and Ira needles will be 2 rental towers, 15/16 storey with a podium. RE: General Suburban Updates and Rumours - KevinL - 05-01-2016 The woodlot at Bleams and Century Hill has been felled! I was quite surprised to see the change as I passed. I would guess a block of townhouses or a small apartment of some kind. RE: General Suburban Updates and Rumours - Lens - 05-01-2016 It's a shame we see perfectly nice woodlots like this cleared out when there are so many other good sites. RE: General Suburban Updates and Rumours - tomh009 - 05-01-2016 Looks like Revel will be building a group of low-rise apartments on the site, a total of 40 units. There is a building permit issued only for the plumbing so far.
