Too bad they aren't actually part of the final product, and are just packaging material.

Let's hope they forget to remove them!

One of the longest building projects ever.  "Should" be open for September classes.

Compared to Quantum Nano, this thing seems fast!

Quantum Nano had very specific and unusual engineering conditions. This one has no such excuse.

There still seems to be a lot of finishing work to do on this building and it doesn't look like it is going to be ready for the fall semester. What is taking so long? The original articles in the thread stated a summer 2015 finish date and there are construction photos, from well after the project started, dated from November of 2013.
Everyone move to the back of the bus and we all get home faster.

Faculty and staff have started to move into the new building. There will be classes starting in September. The building will definitely not be completely finished this September. Work will continue until 2017.

All in all, I think this is the greatest development on University Ave so far.

It's got a wonderfully wide sidewalk, it addresses the street, there are generous overhangs for protection from the elements, it's nicely massed, and even has some unique architectural features.

Now to rebuild everything else.

Missing: Pedestrian overpass connecting to the Concourse (activity hub of Laurier).

They can add that when they redevelop that terrible parking lot that's fronting University.
