Registry Theatre

Here's a link to the Registry Theatre. Their programming is varied, but I find that events are not always well promoted. It is a very good music venue, among other things. Ticket prices, generally around $20, are very reasonable.

On September 6th, I see that there will be a performance by "Grasstic Measures", a bluegrass band. Here's a sample I found on-line

Waterloo Region Record
By Robert Reid

KITCHENER — The Registry Theatre presented its inaugural Roots Weekend last spring with two pairs of Canadian roots artists.

Acoustic blues artists Rick Fines and Suzie Vinnick joined ukulele ace James Hill and cellist Anne Janelle.

This year, the Kitchener theatre is prospecting further afield by pairing a Canadian female folk trio, Trent Severn, with an American male bluegrass trio, the Kruger Brothers.

Featuring Emma Gryner, Dayna Manning and Laura C. Bates, Trent Severn performs a Folk Night at the Registry concert Saturday night and conducts a harmony singing workshop Saturday afternoon.

Meanwhile, the Kruger Brothers perform in concert Friday night and will conduct a strings workshop Saturday morning. ...

I went to the CITS box office this pm and the Registry Theatre concerts for both Friday and Saturday night are already sold out. Sad

It's a terrific venue for music - I just wish they had more seats!
