Attachments are the most convenient way, I think, but the storage limit is set to 50 MB for a free account. A premium account ($25/year) is 200 MB. Unfortunately, your quota ran out rather quickly because you posted many of your early photos as PNG, which results in much, much bigger image sizes for almost all photos (it's fine for diagrams). You are now posting mostly JPEG, I think, which is better, but there wasn't much space left any more. 200 MB should last a rather long time if using JPEG for photos.
The other option is using a separate image storage services (such as imgur) and then inserting the photos using the "image" button instead. Some people here may have strong opinions on the different services.
