Toronto's Scarborough RT

Neglect of Scarborough rt is Shameful

Excellent article - couldn't have put it into better words myself.  This is exactly how I feel about the rt, and I hate that Toronto has decided to let it fall apart and waste billions on an un-needed replacement instead of maintaining/expanding what they have.

Scarborough's creaking SRT gets a makeover

Love that they are finally putting some money into refurbishment. Hate what they're doing with the colour scheme of the trains.

The RT is the most reliable service the TTC runs in spite of the neglect. I imagine they'll still be running in 10 or 20 years while people keep arguing about the subway/lrt thing.
