I think he clearly meant public perception, not the actual materials aging. Once the novelty wears off and people have to look at it every day, perception changes. IMO, the pharmacy building is pretty standout in that regard, gives me the same vibes as the Charles St terminal (although obviously there are much, much uglier low-profile buildings). As the glass continues to go in on the Mayfair I sort of agree, the idea is interesting but it does look sort of... low quality? In the same way as that Dutch building posted earlier.
