And with the other new condo building on the other side of the building next door, that whole block will be much more complete. I just hope the new buildings actually engage with the sidewalk. If they do, the street-level experience will be much as it was before the older buildings on those sites were lost.
It should be better. The Mayfair had only a half-length retail store front on King St (plus a steel door for its own entrance), and the Young St side was essentially a blank wall, so there was minimal engagement. The heritage building design was attractive, yes, but it was not exactly engaging.
