Looks like work is actually getting under way here. Lots of equipment on site, and fencing is up. I don't see any sign of a construction trailer though, nor any space for one, so I'm wondering if Vive is having Otis and Ophelia run as a single large project.

I suspect it's for Ophelia, because there is now no room for equipment on the Ophelia site.

Based on driving by a few hours ago, I'm 95% sure the equipment was for caissons. I think Ophelia is solidly past that point, but it's exactly what you'd expect for Otis.

After walking by I can upgrade that to 100% sure.  Piles are going in, Otis has begun.

This Vive is doing a good job. Everyone was skeptical but they are finding their groove. I am impressed with many of their projects now.

Gives me hope for their Lower Kitchener project. They still haven't released any plans or renders for it, but the quality of their work has been good so far.

How is "Lower Kitchener" defined?  King E. between Ottawa & Cedar?

I don't think it's really a standard term, it's just what Vive is naming their project, https://www.waterlooregionconnected.com/...p?tid=1503 . The stretch of King St E from Cedar to Ottawa could use a name though, AFAIK there isn't really an agreed one.

That's what I thought, but I noticed that Vive describe their development office as being in Lower Kitchener so maybe they are trying to create a new marketing description for that area?  http://vivedevelopment.com/property/vive...nt-office/

I hope this marketing name for the area is just an initial attempt. "Lower Kitchener" to me implies Doon. Geographically, this area is actually within the upper third of the city.

I was definitely one of the skeptical ones so I'll give credit where due.
