Halibut House, a Toronto based fish and chips restaurant, will be opening ‘soon’ in the Highland Hills Mall. I love good fish and chips so I’m looking forward to this.

East Side Marios in university plaza is also a goner. Two businesses lost in that shopping centre to Covid.

They did always target the student population, and, as I recall it, they were quite popular early on. Not my favourite, but kudos to them for the longevity.

I had mentioned it in a different thread, but East Side was scheduled for closure before Covid. It wasn't the same as it was years ago, when they had decent food and a decent menu. Just noticed the post above mine, from bgb_ca. Owner retired.

There have always been options on Highland Rd, Westheights and two across the street from one another at University/Weber, but none close to me. Coke

The Whale and Ale on Victoria street is doing take-out. I have had great fish and chips there but also not so great on occasion.
