That's kind of what I expected. The driver hit the cyclist going through the widest of turns. As a pedestrian, this is probably my most terrifying moment on the road, not only is the car coming from nearly behind me, but they can easily do that turn at 50km/h, a speed where I will have zero chance of avoiding.
It's basically designed for injury.
I wonder where the cyclist was coming from as well, there are a number of residences on the north side of erb, and if I was going to the mall at Westmount, I'm not sure I'd really want to make two left turns across five lanes of traffic to get there.
