Obviously people use parking if there is parking nearby. But not when parking is 2 blocks away.
so uptown is losing business by losing onstreet parking?
This is a statement that's false because it's premise is false, uptown isn't "losing" on street parking, there is still parking all up one side of King and on every side street.
It's also false because it's false, businesses don't suffer when parking is moved off street, nor would they likely suffer much when parking is reduced...we have an excess of parking uptown already, and it has only INCREASED with LRT and the bike lanes.
Businesses in uptown at least also probably don't even suffer when bike parking is missing. Obviously, people find a place to park their bikes...it's the trees that suffer.
