The bicycle icon is gratuitous on a dual-use path except in sections where only bicycles are allowed. Perhaps you're suggesting that its absence indicates non-asphalt. In that case we need an icon to indicate paved vs. non-paved. (It might also be useful to indicate if a path is serviced in the winter. But that's a separate issue.)
And what does any of this have to do with cars? These trails aren't for them. More relevant is the status of electric and gas powered bicycles. Should they be allowed on dual-use paths like Waterloop?
