A couple of nougats buried in the preliminary budget paper for GRT (http://www.regionofwaterloo.ca/en/region...ackage.pdf, page 9):
2014 GRT ridership is estimated to be 21.9million (a 0.2% decrease from 2013) mostly due to a significant reduction in high school pass sales
Ridership is still increased 132% since the establishment of GRT in 2000.
"The 10-year capital forecast needs to updated to reflect the resource requirements for passenger facilities in 2017 as described below:
-Completion of a dedicated transit road at the University of Waterloo that is integrated with the ION station
-Construction of a transit passenger facility integrated with the ION station at Fairview Park Mall and at Courtland Avenue and Block Line Road
-Construction of a transit passenger facility in east Kitchener to integrate the Ottawa iXpress, Highland/Victoria iXpress, and local bus routes
-Stations for Ottawa iXpress and extension of 203 Maple Grove iXpress, and transfer stops with ION.
