The Guanaquita
#1
The Guanaquita at 273 King St West (above Frankie's the dive bar) is my favourite place for a thrifty meal downtown. They serve mainly Salvadorean food such as pupusas and sopa de mondongo and they have some Mexican options as well. The service is friendly and they have seating on a balcony which is really nice on warm days.

Would definitely recommend going there. www.theguanaquitarestaurant.com/

I've been meaning to try this place. Pupuseria Latino on Eby Street is my usual place for pupusas etc but I've heard good things about la Guanaquita as well.

Guanaquita is worth trying, but if you're looking just for pupusas, I think they're better at Pupuseria Latino.
