The hydrogen fuel cell cycle is less efficient than direct contact (OCS/Catenary) or batteries, but vastly more efficient (and clean) than combustion (Diesel). So, it's actually a really good idea for us in Ontario. It wasn't even on my radar that this could be good here, but after reading through the articles - it just makes total sense. I'm actually really proud of Metrolinx (usually I'm quite critical of them) for taking a look at this as a possibility!
