It really is terrible lol. Some tinted glass covering the parking garage  would have been WAY better

The original render for the garage looked substantially better

I was pessimistic with the renders. At this point I'd love to even have what the renders promised.

I just drove by it now in the setting sun light, I couldn't disagree with you guys more. I am really liking it.
I think it will look good when it is done.

Sunset can make *almost* anything look decent though. Keep that in mind Smile

It is of course also ok to disagree

Ya, what's with the gaps?  This just seems like poor installation, no?

This is really starting to tower over downtown. Even though it's not officially a skyscraper, it feels like one

Agreed, contrary to all the negativity (and as mentioned before, can understand and see everyone's point), I still love it!!! It looks huge!

Any sunset pics of this building?

Not a sunset pic, but I had to detour from king yesterday and had to pull over to get this pick. DTK really noticeable now even from the suburbs

I will say for all the negative things I've said about this building, I love the massing here and it looks great from afar. Up close its still absolutely horrible tho.

This building sure is tall, maybe not Toronto skyscraper tall, but it sure sticks out. Visible from Waterloo.

Are we topped out? I can’t tell if that’s the 36th 37th 39th or 39th flow by the picture. Hoping it’s only the 36th Big Grin

What defines something as a skyscraper?

I'm pretty sure a skyscraper is 150 meters or taller, then a super tall skyscraper is 300+ meters and then mega tall is 600+ meters

Agreed, it’s awesome you can see this building from so many places in K-W. I do get greedy sometimes and wish they just built this 22 metres taller (aprox. 7 more floors)

oh well, I have hope on the horizon for our City and it’s potential. In the mean time I will scour the likes of UrbanToronto to get my fix. Yes the CTBUH defines a skyscraper as 150m
