From the meeting minutes, looks like IN8 is doing soil samples and test drilling in the parking lot over the next few weeks.

There don't appear to be any active building (or demolition) permits, at least not online yet.

All three properties (including Exclamation, which may or may not be part of the project) are zoned D-4 (office district). Reading the zoning regs, it seems that there are very few restrictions for D4, and specifically no floor space ratio (FSR) limit. If my reading is correct, that would indeed make it easy to build 33 floors, without having to go through the deviation process.

For anyone else interested, the zoning bylaws are here:

Exclamation is now closed, as are all other businesses in the building. No building permits issued yet, though.

So the building on the corner was definitely part of Trinity's holding?

Or has been purchased by the same developer to be folded into the parcel.

Still no render on the IN8 site.  I'd love to see what they have in mind.

Has the Trinity sanctuary been cleared out yet? I understand that the organ and stained glass windows are to be saved by the former congregation, and I assume the pews will find new life somewhere else.

A bit confusing since DTK also refers to Downtown Kitchener.  Has the project been approved?

At least DTK is in DTK! Not the The Uptown, which is out in the boonies. Tongue

It looks okay. Very pre-cast in areas, but what isn't these days? There should be images available soon through their site or a press release, whichever first.
