If you look at the GTA as a whole, do you think the quality of its architecture is better? Or is it that the highest quality (and most expensive) buildings are congregated in the core, so they're more visible?

Just look at daniels new waterfront tower in Toronto. It's worse than anything they're building even in waterloo region and its right on the waterfront blocking the view of the bank towers. Theres also buildings like YC condos and Teahouse condos that really arent that nice looking either right on the heart of yonge st. On the flip side, look at some of the towers going up in Vaughn. Smartcenters with transit city condos or something like GC tower. Buildings that vastly surpass some of the stuff being built downtown and they're way out in the suburbs. I think the gta is overall better though, because the bad isnt really any worse than the bad here, but theres a lot more good

I imagine it's similar, relatively speaking. When flying into Toronto you get an idea of how the midrises (15-20ish stories) seem to go on forever, there must be an absolute boatload of really cheaply built buildings.

Are we topped out yet? I have a good view from my house at Victoria and Fischerhallman (too far to count floors) I wish this thing would keep on goin up!!

Building is enormous, easily seen driving into the region on 8 from the 401, and still 15% of the floors to go!
Hey at least it’s tall ??

Yeah this tower is making a mark in terms of height.
I can now see it on the WB 401 coming down the hill from the Franklin Blvd exit - it peaks out behind the Chicopee ski hill.

It is debatable about how it looks however, I think this is important because we have finally overcome the thought you can't build tall in Kitchener. Hopefully this inspires others to to better and taller.

Yes, I agree, but I prefer to be positive than negative. Let's look forward in a positive means.

That's three different colours of cladding? (Gray on the podium, beige on left side of tower, black on right side of tower)
