Of course, I doubt there's a safe crossing to be built at Karn eh?....Oh well.

This has been long complete now, so I think it merits one more photo.

It won't win any awards, but this has turned out nicely.

Where exactly is this one/3 buildings?
Was it purpose built rent? If so what are rents like, if anyone knows...

Belmont and Gage. Three buildings, purpose-built rentals.
You can find these on kijiji. For example, 1BR for $1500: https://www.kijiji.ca/v-apartments-condo...1505836552 (07-26-2020, 10:28 AM)tomh009 Wrote: Belmont and Gage. Three buildings, purpose-built rentals. $1,500 for 1 bedroom. Wow. Though looking at the pictures, these places do look very, very nice. Says you have to pay hydro -- so one is hoping this has free heating.

The "New York" decor is somewhat aspirational... KW has a long way to go before being NYC. https://www.kijiji.ca/v-apartments-condo...1505836565

How do those prices compare to other rentals?
Definitely nice finishings though

I didn't even realize that this was called "New York decor" so not sure many people would see these units as aspiring to be in NYC.

I have friends that are renting that new apartment on Stirling and Homer Watson, and I think the 1-bedroom is something like $1700 -- though I believe it is all-inclusive.

I was talking about the maps of NYC and the wall decorations that actually said "New York". To my knowledge it's not a term that people use. (07-27-2020, 02:41 PM)jeffster Wrote: Yeah, I know. We have an older 3BR townhouse condo and we didn't manage to rent it out without making price concessions. Definitely not looking at the prices we're looking at here.
