No, no, no.

I can't wait for this to look like a rainbow puke gaming PC.

Of course they are.

This would give the skyline a nice look at night. I have yet to see any in any proposals in town here. Too expensive? Or are we just not there yet in terms of architecture quality?

A few months ago I was shown Momentums proposal for Uptown, it had all mechanical equipment on a lower interior floor and the top floor was a full-height glazing viewing deck, with a cool angled roof

Lol, maybe the whole building was inspired by something someone made in Minecraft? The grey/white/back stripes on the podium look exactly like dyed sheep wool blocks in the game.

Minecraft, the building! Now with MLG EPIC RGB BUILDING HILIGHTS FOR MAXIMUM FPS!!!!!! HEADSHOTS!!!!!!

I know everyone here hates the podium… but dare I say the lights might actually make it better? Gives it something unique at night rather than just a horrendous mixture of pre-cast slabs.

I think they look goofy as hell. It's like they lurked here and realized how ugly they made their building and tried to improve it.

The colours don't match any part of the building. They should have just used white lights and maybe added some stainless steel "sculpture" - like vertical stripes or wavy lines (which, in a way, would vaguely match the tower facade that has wavy lines imprinted into the material) - and had the light reflect off of that. At least that would look aesthetically pleasing and match the monochrome palette. It looks like a child designed this in Minecraft. Blocks of dyed sheep wool for the podium stripes and some RGB Twitch streamer lighting to try and make it look cool.

Ugh SRM staff need their architecture licences revoked. They're talentless and ruining the region with their crappy buildings. How any of those people graduated architecture school baffles me.

Better, I'm not sure.  More garish, definitely.  That said, DTK could use a bit of the "bright lights".

I would like to know when they are going to move those big concrete planter things (or whatever they are) that have been blocking the sidewalk for months.

I guess to be determined on the metal sculpture rendered coming to life but wouldn't count on it. Just hoping they cover these with something and maybe eventually just a pick one colour and stick with it.

I guess sculpture isn't the right term, so I don't know what to call it haha. I'm thinking something like this. Something dimensional, possibly made out of stainless steel which could reflect white light in a nice way. Wrap the awful striped podium in that, add bright white lighting for nights and you wouldn't really notice how awful it is. It's super elementary design so it perplexes me the team who designed this couldn't achieve this.
