Yeah, you can see some the same sloping from the other direction as well, eg in https://www.waterlooregionconnected.com/...7#pid71677 which is taken from the Charles Terminal corner of Charles and Gaukel.

Having sloping on in a building like that. It should be more or less level, excluding perhaps some basement level work where drainage is taken into account. But the floors of a 31 floor building shouldn't slope.

Isnt the first few floors a parking podium? They probably want a slope for water drainage when snow melts off the cars ?

I suspect the edge of the building isn't straight their, perhaps related to the wavy structure that will be the facade at that part of the building.

From this the main parking ramp seems to be in the side of the building up against the manulife building. I suspect they ran out of distance the get the height they wanted in the length they had and needed to make up the <1 foot of slope we see to get the floor spacing correct. The slope would be in the first non-corner bay after the ramp.

That half of the podium is the parking garage, so I'm certain it's just part of the ramp for the parking garage. The residential units look flat like they're supposed to be.

It's really obvious when you look in person, and has been for months, so if it was in error I'm certain they'd have fixed it.

Thanks! I had no idea the parking was in the podium, though I haven't paid much attention to details on this. But now that does make sense, as I don't remember them digging down enough for parking. Most certainly it's drainage then.

There is underground parking, but I don't think it was 4 levels down. I only saw two levels when watching them building. The hole looked really deep though, so I was surprised it was only 2.

There was at least one level below the parking that was mechanical only. The excavation was very deep on this one compared to other new building digs..

Just about done the podium (there's one more floor to go on the left half here — the parking garage). Things should start moving along more quickly now!
