Amtrak Cascades Accident

Yeah, ours was about that late most of the journey. If it is more than 4 hours late into Vancouver, you get a refund or something - ours sped up in the last few hours and we were “only” 3 hours and 50-something minutes late.

At one point we woke up in the middle of the night and were going backwards. Apparently a blockage on the track meant we had to reverse for several hours.

A fascinating experience - definitely recommend getting a cabin. The whole back of the train is yours and it’s actually really luxurious. Food is excellent.
