Where would they even put a new building on the property? It's all built out, now.

It'll be on the surface lot next to the new tower, here https://goo.gl/maps/M4PYsEzHuqxFdtaK6

Development will likely drift east along the train tracks, especially as Krug is moving out of their building.

I have to say it's the old factory building that brings this entire project together. The new buildings themselves are more or less forgettable, but having that historic building as an anchor (with a very beautiful interior) makes this work.

I still remember the smell of that corner riding by on an orange and cream GM 'New Look' Kitchener Transit bus with its slider windows open on a hot summer day. (Not good, but the Labatt's corner in Waterloo was often worse.) Pretty sure the factory was Becker's Lay-Tech at that time, with virtually no windows, a clock set in the brick wall on the Moore / King corner, and the sharp hiss of an air release every minute or so, presumably from a press mold. Childhood memories are always the most vivid...

I definitely remember the hissing. As kids, my sibling and I would always mimic them when we were at that old doughnut shop in the triangular shaped building.

Now that I remember the clock, it would have been neat to see some version of the clock function included in the renovation. Ah well...
