Food was awesome and they offer door to door service!

That's interesting - I think the Serbian grocery place at the corner of Courtland and Benton has also opened a small eatery at the back of their place. I need to check them out.

Yes, they have. I haven't tried it, either, only shopped at the store.

Indeed. Filipino adobo, menudo, bihon -- and Newfie fries!

I finally dropped in to the European Meat & Deli on Courtland and Benton this morning just to see what the new eatery looked like and I was pleasantly surprised - the dining room that they have opened at the back of the store is surprisingly stylish. They were not yet open for lunch when I popped in, but the menu looked decent with a variety of Serbian and other dishes including panini, burgers, schnitzel, and salads. It is not licensed. Seems worth a try.

Haven't been there personally, but a friend just told me they thought they had the "best burrito in town" there

I personally like Burrito Boys better, although Fat Bastard is good too.
I've heard Holy Guacamole is better still, but according to their website, they're only open until 7 pm, and that's not the time of day I seek out a burrito.

Holy Guacamole is excellent, but I've never been to burrito boy. The University and Bleams locations are open until 9pm.

Fork and Cork at 1458 Weber St E is open this week. I haven't been but it seems like a serious effort - emphasis on local ingredients.

Nova Era Bakery on King St E at Cedar is applying for a liquour licence (indoor and outdoor). I wonder what kind of wine would complement their deadly pasteis da nata?
