Wow finally, The Vincenzo's of DTK. If I was the Vincenzo's owner I would have considered this spot for expansion but perhaps it's just too close and would be simply be trading business away from the Waterloo location.

Much needed IMO. how good are the Toronto locations for those that have been?

Is it a Vincenzo’s?  Their on-line flyers seem more like standard urban supermarket stuff rather than imports and specialty items.
Vincenzo’s should open a second location, but I wouldn’t see it in DTK.

I think it's somewhere in between a Vincenzo's and a standard supermarket, if you look at their product selection, with more specialty items but standard fare is also included. For example:

Looks like Perimeter sent out a press release a week ago, but no one picked it up? Except this tiny article that misspells the name.

Walked past today, construction on Marcheleo's is in full swing. They've papered over the windows, but through the gaps I could see walls going up. Looks like a DTK grocery store is actually happening.

The difference between "Marche Leo" and Marcheleo's is pretty significant.

Never heard of Marche Leo but looking forward to it!

Marcheleo's. You can get an idea of their current (not Kitchener!) product selection here:

Yep I know, I was trying to be sarcastic with the one word split into 2 re: article linked above, ha.

Ah, sorry, I missed the sarcasm! Smile

Looks like things are progressing on the Marcheleo's grocery store. All the metal framing work wasn't there a couple weeks ago.

Will this be accessible?

Under AODA, wouldn't it have to be?

J&P installed a little mini-elevator for their half a flight of stairs, so I expect the same would be possible here. There is certainly space next to the stairs.

While there's space next to the stairs for a small lift, I think the bigger issue the entrance from King St. There's a single step up from King St, looks to be a historical feature of the building. It may not get fixed as a part of this reno.
