So with the podium well over 500 units I imagine? So anywhere from 600 to 700 residents my guess. A lot of these (80%+ of units) designed for one person.

A beast indeed.  How many units?  Just trying to get a feel for how many residents it will bring to DTK

It's in excess of 400 apartments, no?  I would have guessed between 1.25 and 1.50 people per apartment, so somewhere north of 500 residents, but that's purely guessing.

It's almost 600 units so I would expect 800+ residents. Not all 1BR units will be single residents, some will surely be couples.

It's old, but I found this full colour rendered image (I think I've only seen a monochrome axonometric CAD drawing in this thread) of what the podium is supposed to look like from SRM Architects. When you compare it to the original it certainly feels like a downgrade.

2 very different looks indeed. The colored original render is like a modern cool building for a metropolitan whilst the one being built so far looks like an apartment in Ingersol built in 1999.

Said no one a couple years ago, when describing building heights in Kitchener. It was more like "10 down, 9 to go" and that was the absolute maximum for Kitchener. Now we have 3 buildings that have already surpassed that.

Probably not for another 5+ years, especially now that SARS-CoV-2 has wreaked havoc on the world economy.

There were 2 projects I know of being slowly developed that have been shelved for now. They were not quite 150m but they were close. In comparison, this condo is 128 meters.
