Also below is a snapshot of a drawing for this sort of thing. It is a common method to support the shoring (and also in this project's case a method to puncture water mains lol).(08-30-2019, 10:04 AM)panamaniac Wrote: What would the function be of the line of "portholes" in the outer wall on the King St side?could that have something to do with shoring? It is unusual to see them box out each tieback like this, most often the concrete just covers up whatever steel is protruding from the shoring. Perhaps it was too big and it interfered too much with the wall structure. Regardless, those "portholes" will be patched in with concrete after the underground is complete and they can cut the tieback steel out of the way.

Speaking of Drewlo, Allan Drewlo had an interesting read over on LinkedIn. He was talking about SIS, in London, and his desire to keep it away from their buildings. Good read if you have an account with that odd social media provider.

They were bringing in another mobile crane this afternoon or they were swapping cranes. They also poured a working floor for them to build the rebar foundation on so they aren't tripping over dirt, On the corner of Charles and Cameron.
