We got it wrong folks. Those weird rooms and mazes down below are where they will store the Demogorgon and it's offspring. Pfft 'electrical' yah right. A massive, tall (re: tallest in Waterloo Region) - I think almost all black - structure like that is definitely a research facility. Unknowing residents will be the pawns used in experiments.

See, this is another thing no one knows. What on earth is going on there? I might have to buy a unit just to find out!

To answer @panamaniac's question in the DTK Condos thread ("How many residential units are under construction in DTK currently?"):
If we consider the projects that are under active construction (including those in the demolition and foundation phase), projects in DTK that are in this category include Charlie West, Young Condos, Duke Tower Kitchener, the Drewlo project, Arrow Lofts II, Barra on Queen, The Market Flats, 242 Queen St. S, 59 Scott St. , 51 David St, and The Duke. When one adds up the number of units in each of these projects, they get 2247 residential units currently under construction in DTK.
If we consider the projects that are proposed but have little activity, projects in DTK that are in this category include 387 King St. E, 21 Ontario St N, 45 Duke St, Avenue M, and 64 Margaret Ave. When one adds up the number of units in each of these projects, they get 637 residential units currently under construction in DTK.
If we consider both the units that under construction and are proposed, there are currently 2884 Units in DTK in the process of being built.

That was just strange, man.
And yeah, that original song has been stuck in my head, so yeah, I have that going for me.

Now is not a good time to kill the conspiracy theories. Surely you have some theories, no? While we might know the number if units, we have no idea how many hidden units there are, and whey they're being used for.

As typical, there will be no “13” button on the elevator; you’ll have to press a particular sequence of other buttons to make it go to 13. I heard it will be a secret residence for UW’s president.

Chinese buildings have even more hidden units, as you can't get to floors 4, 14, 24 etc (and that includes some buildings in the GTA!). So would that be a Chinese conspiracy?

If it happens, then yes.
BTW: I was watching Die Hard tonight, just for kicks, a good 'ol 80's action flick. Anyway, they were, I believe, in the basement to get some mechanical work done, and I noticed that the rooms and corridors were very, very small and narrow. It reminded me of DTK as it looked almost identical. I believe in Die Hard the building is 34 floors and 493 feet, which I guess was a lot back in the 80's for a residential place. DTK, would still be about 70 feet shorter than this building, but it does have 5 additional floors.
I did dig up some research on Fox Plaza (where Die Hard was shot), and apparently most of the movie was shot inside except a scene or two. So those small weird room in the bottom of DTK are obviously coms and are meant for movie studio's to make movies, and possibly to communicate with the aliens, in the upside down, for example, and other clandestine operations. It's all very exciting because I believe we're getting closer to the truth.

Lots of workers on site today. More concrete being laid on the Duke Street side. Very little sand/soil is left to cover. Also, the area close to the church now has tiles covering the basement. As for the basement, it looks like an elaborate maze to find the Porta Potty.

Hiding the access to the underground control centre construction in a port-o-potty is very clever! Almost worthy of Smart himself.

A Region of Waterloo TARDIS, perhaps?

Have they started the first floor? It looks like it on the right side of the pic. Interestingly, some areas near Mary's Place still have soil showing and only part of the basement is covered. To me it looks like they are working on three separate floors at the same time.
