Can you do me a favour, and post those two photos in the facebook group? Some dolt was going on 2 weeks ago about how "Grandlinq fails again" because there was "no way these are going to re-open on time". Smile

And, just a reminder of what this intersection looked like, less than 2 weeks ago (Photos from April 30):

Incredible work by all involved.

I guess I haven't seen a picture of that yet! Something looked distinctly different about this one, so I thought it was the first.

Ted posted some bright and early on Monday morning on the facebook group.

I'm still hoping for concrete and pavement painting/demarcation:

Great photo!

In case anyone doesn't realize, this is the Schneider Creek crossing between Hayward and the Parkway. The new bridge for the freight track at right was completed last year; the former freight bridge was removed and, as you can see, the LRT bridge is well under way.

Is that LRT bridge for both sets of track?

Yeah!  Here's the relevant document from the Functional Design Plans, which I just happened to be perusing over with a latte on this fine, beautiful morning (groan):

http://rapidtransit.regionofwaterloo.ca/..._Part4.pdf

The bridge is split between the fourth and fifth pages in the .PDF.

Is there any pedestrian access in the area to this bridge which would be suitable for taking photographs of it?

I don't think so, but I don't know the area well. You'd probably have to sight it either from Hayward or Ardelt/Overland.

You can get there just by walking down the tracks from Hayward, no?

King / Agnes has also been complete for at least a week now!

I suspect Mr Canard would rather not trespass. I haven't been there for years, but there used to be paths along the stream, and you could park at the ball park off Hayward.
