RE: Station Park | 18, 28, 32, 36, 44 fl | U/C - tomh009 - 09-22-2021 Hi CP42, Attachments are the most convenient way, I think, but the storage limit is set to 50 MB for a free account. A premium account ($25/year) is 200 MB. Unfortunately, your quota ran out rather quickly because you posted many of your early photos as PNG, which results in much, much bigger image sizes for almost all photos (it's fine for diagrams). You are now posting mostly JPEG, I think, which is better, but there wasn't much space left any more. 200 MB should last a rather long time if using JPEG for photos. The other option is using a separate image storage services (such as imgur) and then inserting the photos using the "image" button instead. Some people here may have strong opinions on the different services. RE: Station Park | 18, 28, 32, 36, 44 fl | U/C - Lebronj23 - 09-22-2021 When you click new reply, you’ll see it says you are currently using 37.43MB (View my attachments) Click ‘(view my attachments)’and you can delete older pics to make room RE: Station Park | 18, 28, 32, 36, 44 fl | U/C - mastermind - 09-22-2021 (09-22-2021, 07:49 PM)Lebronj23 Wrote: When you click new reply, you’ll see it says you are currently using 37.43MB (View my attachments) Does that remove them from the thread they are in then? RE: Station Park | 18, 28, 32, 36, 44 fl | U/C - tomh009 - 09-22-2021 The seven (?) on this page add up to more than 32 MB of the 50 MB limit: https://www.waterlooregionconnected.com/showthread.php?pid=89345 If you were to (download if necessary and) resize them, and save as JPEG, they would likely take up 2 MB at the most. But you'd need to delete them from the posts and then add the new resized photos. A bit of a hassle, I'm afraid. What I do is to upload them to Imgur rather than directly to this website. Select as many images as you want, click on "Get share link" once you upload them and copy the BBCode and paste into your message here. It's free and you can upload up to 50 images per hour. RE: Station Park | 18, 28, 32, 36, 44 fl | U/C - CP42 - 09-23-2021 Thank you all for the image suggestions. I have uploaded a couple photos to Imgur: https://imgur.com/a/6YayTKE It is quite interesting seeing the Union Towers portion of Station Park emerging into the Skyline, along with the Phase 3 of the Breithaupt Block beside it (which I believe is only on floor 8 of 11). Along with the Transit Hub (if it is ever built), this area will look quite filled in in a few years time. RE: Station Park | 18, 28, 32, 36, 44 fl | U/C - ac3r - 09-23-2021 This will eventually become one of the densest areas in the region. There's Station Park, 30 Francis, Glove Box, 100 Victoria, 1 Victoria, the transit hub as well as future commercial developments incorporated into that, potentially a very large project at Duke and Victoria (50 40 floors if I remember correctly), Google, a project at Moore and King (where the old McDonald's is), a future expansion of the UW Pharmacy campus (unless that was cancelled) and very likely some more projects where those parking lots are behind Glove/100 Victoria. I can see that skinny parking lot behind 345 King eventually getting redeveloped as well. I might be remembering wrong but I think KWAG was possibly going to expand around there as well. Is this speculation " a project at Moore and King (where the old McDonald's is)" or is there a legitimate project moving forward on this? I'm not sure whether or not any progress has been made on its development, however, but eventually someone is going to want to use that property. I thought this development was just for the wedged corner of king and Wellington (currently an empty lot), and NOT the McDonalds plot. The McDonald's property is still owned by McDonald's, there's no development plans for it yet. The render above is for the King/Wellington corner. A building permit was issued for it last year, but no sign of activity yet.
