RE: Station Park (née SIXO) | 28 + 20? + 12? + ? fl | Proposed - Momo26 - 11-23-2019 Probably already discussed but are they keeping the Kaufman mansion because they have to (heritage)? RE: Station Park (née SIXO) | 28 + 20? + 12? + ? fl | Proposed - Spokes - 11-25-2019 I think so, but not certain RE: Station Park (née SIXO) | 28 + 20? + 12? + ? fl | Proposed - taylortbb - 11-25-2019 (11-23-2019, 01:56 AM)Momo26 Wrote: Probably already discussed but are they keeping the Kaufman mansion because they have to (heritage)? They're definitely keeping the Kaufman mansion, and IIRC it is a heritage property. I don't know about "because they have to" though. I get the sense the mansion is a key feature in how they're branding the space, so it definitely fits with the business case and isn't just an obligation they'd rather do without. RE: Station Park (née SIXO) | 28 + 20? + 12? + ? fl | Proposed - panamaniac - 11-25-2019 I couldn't swear to it, but I think that the heritage preservation is an initiative of the developers. If I recall correctly, they promised a couple of years ago to seek a heritage designation for the property once the work is complete. I'm uncertain, however, because that would mean that the manision didnt' already have a heritage designation, which seems astonishing. Indeed. Not only is it well-preserved and unique, it has a personal connection to a founding pillar of the region's industrial economy. That's generally priceless. RE: Station Park (née SIXO) | 28 + 20? + 12? + ? fl | Proposed - ac3r - 11-26-2019 It's staying. You can see it in the CAD plans and renderings of the site. RE: Station Park (née SIXO) | 28 + 20? + 12? + ? fl | Proposed - JCnb - 12-16-2019 Driving by on the weekend I was surprised to see the office building on the corner of King and Wellington to be nothing more than a hole in the ground.. Progress! RE: Station Park (née SIXO) | 28 + 20? + 12? + ? fl | Proposed - white_brian - 12-16-2019 Chapel is now fenced off and the placards have been removed RE: Station Park (née SIXO) | 28 + 20? + 12? + ? fl | Proposed - Lens - 12-18-2019 A look at the final site massing: https://www.instagram.com/p/B6LW2uRgk5Q/?igshid=w76kj682fygw RE: Station Park (née SIXO) | 28 + 20? + 12? + ? fl | Proposed - westwardloo - 12-18-2019 (12-18-2019, 10:30 PM)Lens Wrote: A look at the final site massing: https://www.instagram.com/p/B6LW2uRgk5Q/?igshid=w76kj682fygwAwesome video. Any chance there are screen shots of the model? I hope the 2 other towers are designed to be landmark type buildings for the region. Maybe even a new tallest would be great! RE: Station Park (née SIXO) | 28 + 20? + 12? + ? fl | Proposed - panamaniac - 12-18-2019 I didn't realize that the proposal included a grocer. It would be a great place for an urban Farm Boy. RE: Station Park (née SIXO) | 28 + 20? + 12? + ? fl | Proposed - Momo26 - 12-18-2019 I think - speculated of course - Whole Foods or something comparable. If nothing else I would expect a 'Sobeys Urban' type RE: Station Park (née SIXO) | 28 + 20? + 12? + ? fl | Proposed - Spokes - 12-19-2019 (12-18-2019, 10:51 PM)westwardloo Wrote:(12-18-2019, 10:30 PM)Lens Wrote: A look at the final site massing: https://www.instagram.com/p/B6LW2uRgk5Q/?igshid=w76kj682fygwAwesome video. I was thinking the same thing. Very nice. I'm cautiously becoming more excited about this one. That being said barrel yards has soured me on massive multi phase projects RE: Station Park (née SIXO) | 28 + 20? + 12? + ? fl | Proposed - Momo26 - 12-19-2019 Yah not fair to judge until complete. Still think the original renderings were cooler then typical all black. One of the biggest factors is what will they include street side/What tenants can they secure!
