Cheap food is deeply engrained in the North American culture. I don't see that changing "post-covid", unfortunately, especially since I suspect that our purchasing power is going to take a permanent hit.

I've heard it from partner-of-friend as well. It was never planned to be permanent, just a use of the land until they could further develop it, I recall.
