I do hope they only get signage permits for inside the windows and not drilling all kinds of holes into the gorgeous exterior.

That's a very good point about drilling into that beautiful facia stone

The Ottawa/Strasburg A&W has progressed nicely - building envelope looks complete.

The Tim Hortons at Lancaster and Frederick has a sign in their door — they're closing as of April 8th and moving to the new Frederick Mall location

So the closest Tim's to downtown is retreating, while a Starbucks moves into its heart. Interesting.

A CBC piece today makes mention of a new basement "speakeasy" called Sugar Run that's supposed to open soon in DTK. Anybody know where it will be located?

RE: General Food, Dining and Nightlife News - Rainrider22 - 04-06-2019

Yes. But I can't say more than that.

Lunch served in a bento box? Or empty bento boxes for packing your own lunches?

Empty.  I want to make my own bento box lunch/dinners for myself and guests.

T&T maybe? I did not notice them but that would be my #1 guess.

I didn’t see any there but I wasn’t looking for bento boxes.  New City doesn’t have any and neither does the Asian household goods store next door.  The Korean store in the plaza on King by Breithaupt doesn’t sell them either.
