Civic 66 started excavation in August 2020.
389 King started excavation in August 2021.

Yes, it's probably slower, but they are only nine months into the project, whereas 66 Civic is 21 months in.

Apparently David's Fresh Cut Fries on Lancaster is looking for a new home. Joseph and co. Is going to be expanding their yard and building a new office there. Another interesting place, gone...

A nice light reno at 101 Margaret. New glass railings (replacing wood fencing-type railings) and doors, and five basement apartments added. The building looks good and five additional lower-cost apartments are a good thing.

This is 80 Sydney St N, with a total of 44 stacked townhouses split between two buildings. That's a net add of 37 housing units, and this qualifies as helping to fill out the "missing middle" in our housing landscape, too.

Apart from those ugly green doors that looks quite alright!

Wow, I thought it was longer. I stand corrected.  Thanks for the info.

These forums are very useful for figuring out construction start dates. Smile

To be fair though, it would've needed to go eventually — not a chance in hell an inevitable grade separation (whether bridge or underpass) at the Lancaster tracks would've been able to still allow access to the property

So 550 King E. is all dug up. It was a parking lot across from Morris car wash. I zoomed my camera in on the paperwork posted at the gate and it said "Copper Bay Homes".

In fill developer apparently. Can't find any permits for a project though.

It likely fell within current zoning rules if there was no permit application available.

That is my Doctor's office. Are they demolishing the medical building? I haven't received any notice about a change of address.

Just the parking lot is being excavated which I'm sure won't be missed seeing how it is almost 100% empty every time I walk by.

They had a fence up maybe a week or two ago but I assumed they were just repaving. They are definitely building something now.

In the last two years one of my neighbours mentioned that that parking lot had been sold to a developer and it was just the parking lot not the medical building.

Has anything moved into the former Kings Mart location? Once it closed I was wondering if it was going to become part of the plan for the properties next to it or if maybe something new would be announced.

There has been a few people in there working lately. It's not really clear exactly what they're doing but by the looks of things that will remain a store.

AIM clinic will be demolished. Tenants have until July 1 to vacate. The house at the other end of the parking lot will be demolished in a few months. They were all advised a few months ago. At one point it was Woodhouse Group that was involved, but nobody is sure if it is still them. Permits are “in process”.

And sorry - thought this was about the aim clinic parking lot which is also being excavated ….but no w you know.
