RE: Mayfair Hotel project | 6 fl | U/C - tomh009 - 11-16-2019 It's not a tall building so I think they could do everything with the portable crane. RE: Mayfair Hotel project | 6 fl | U/C - Coke6pk - 11-18-2019 Forgot to post this after I took it... Life got in the way... Throwback Monday -> to Oct 24. Hope that roof top restaurant becomes a lively lunch and after work hangout/patio lounge for downtown, the likes of which can be found in downtown Toronto. 'Fritted' glass, any examples of these used elsewhere? That's interesting - will either look really cool or really tacky :p. Not the effect that the Mayfair project is looking for, but fritted glass is definitely being used elsewhere, too: https://www.architecturaldigest.com/gallery/why-fritted-glass-makes-buildings-even-better RE: Mayfair Hotel project | 6 fl | U/C - EdM - 12-27-2019 (12-27-2019, 04:31 PM)tomh009 Wrote: Not the effect that the Mayfair project is looking for, but fritted glass is definitely being used elsewhere, too: Interesting, that page includes UW Engineering 5 as an example. I can't remember the last time I bought something downtown that was not edible. Yet downtown Kitchener is just not a place you go to shop for anything but food, which is a real shame. But it's hard to attract interesting retailers to a downtown in a mid sized city.
