RE: Trails - SF22 - 04-05-2024 Definitely some gaps in that trail, at the moment! Seems like this might be a decent bit of trail when it's done, especially since it'll be off busy Victoria St, with the opportunity to do a bit of train-watching at the same time. Thanks for going out and taking all those pictures, @dtkvictim! RE: Trails - dtkvictim - 05-23-2024 (04-05-2024, 10:40 AM)SF22 Wrote: Definitely some gaps in that trail, at the moment! Seems like this might be a decent bit of trail when it's done, especially since it'll be off busy Victoria St, with the opportunity to do a bit of train-watching at the same time. This trail has finally been paved. Was already seeing a lot more people heading through this area, and that should pick up even more with this trail being in a usable state. Now we just wait and see how long it takes for the Victoria St crossing to get painted and have bags removed from the bike signals (seems like it always takes them 6-12 months to turn them on after hanging - the Weber St MUT bike signals are still covered). The transition area at the Victoria St crossing also looks really awkward, it's just a narrow strip of asphalt that is separate from the sidewalk and on an odd angle. RE: Trails - cherrypark - 05-24-2024 Glad to see this finally getting done but that Victoria St. termination is such typical budget trimming when a proper replacement would have been so much better for everyone. Also would like to know if the people designing these MUTs at right angles like that have ever ridden a bike. At least pave the radius a little so its not just muddy dead grass forever! |
